Come get amongst the warm glow and ferocious dancing - the signatures of every show.

we are the BELLY SAVALAS

Belly Savalas is a tight-knit soul-ship. Aka a sizzling jazz-funk-neosoul collective of homies, based in Naarm (Melbourne). The Bellies leave elated, sweaty audiences grinning in their wake, with balkan, latin and afro-cuban influences meeting meaningful songwriting, funky drumming, tight harmonies, soulful keys melodies, and a phat horn section.

Belly Savalas will whisk you away on a magical musical carpet ride fuelled by. incorrigible yet exceptional show-person-ship, through crowd singalongs with three part harmonies, to synchronised dancing with raucous horn fanfares, then seamlessly shift to the intimacy of storytelling in sublime lyrics and instrumental mastery.

With stage chemistry you can’t tear your eyes away from, vocals for days, and a profound sense of absurdity, this dynamic 7-piece creates a show imbued with heart, hilarity, social commentary, existentialism, feminism, queer-love, justice, the sillies, and complementary improv comedy.

Since 2017, Belly Savalas have infatuated audiences with their infectious original tunes and captivating show at various shows and festivals across Australia. Highlights include a sold out Album Launch (2023), appearances at Tablelands Folk Festival (QLD), Rock For Refugee Rights (Naarm/Melbourne), Bridges to Harmony (VIC), Folk Rhythm and Life (VIC), Honk!
