Belly Savalas was formed by a bunch of friends who kept running into each other at festivals while playing with other projects, and decided it was about time they were all on stage together, since the vocal improvisations and dances they had on the street were often as fun if not MORE fun than the main events.

Striving to share their musical play, Belly Savalas’ mission has been to bring their sophisticated gentle-funk lounge-room vibe to the stage, which they have done time and time again, from Honk! Oz, to Folk Rhythm and Life, to playing a sold out single launch at the John Curtin to playing a showcase at The National Folk Festival.
